Church Covenant

We, the members of West Malling Baptist Church, solemnly covenant to do God’s will as expressed in His Son, Jesus Christ Our Lord. We will, God helping us, “do justly, love mercy, walk humbly with God,” and avoiding anything likely to bring discredit upon Christ’s cause, we will be loyal to Him at all times.

We will, in all love, improve our fellowship as brethren, by watching over one another, and as need shall be, will counsel, comfort, assist and bear with one another, humbly submitting ourselves to the government of Christ.

In obedience to our Lord’s command, and believing it right that we must use “all means to save some”, we will each seek continually by care, personal prayer and witness, to win others to a saving knowledge of His Grace.

Recognising the duties of Church Membership, we will not forsake the assembling of ourselves together, but will attend the meetings of the Church as often as possible and especially take care to be present regularly at the Lord’s Supper. We will give to the work of God at home and abroad such support as God enables us to give.

All Church Members agree to adhere to this Covenant.
