Nicola Pinn - Wycliffe Bible Translators

1st Quarter - January to March 2009

 Nicola felt called by God to use her language skills in His service so in 2005 she applied to and was accepted to work with Wycliffe Bible Translators.

As a church we are committed (happily) to supporting Nicola for one quarter of each year. This year we are supporting her for the first quarter.

In December 2006 Nicola arrived in Mali to commence her translation work with SIL (the local Wycliffe partner to whom she was seconded). In February 2009 she returned to the UK for her first furlough spending time with family in West Malling and Canada, visiting supporters in various parts of the country and attending courses in High Wycombe and France. It’s good that she was also able to spend a couple of days on silent retreat in St. Mary’s Abbey. Nicola returned to Mali in September 2009 and, based in Sevare, is continuing her Fulfulde language studies.

£1,347 was raised for Nicola that helped to pay for a holiday in North Wales, supplies to take back to Mali, a donation to her pension fund plus some money sent for her to use in Mali.
