There are several prayer chains in existence. When a prayer request is received it is phoned on to the head of each chain and they in turn phone the next link on the list, and so on down the chain. There are daytime chains, evening only chains and all day chains, depending on people's availability.

Prayer lies at the heart of each Christian’s life, and is at the heart of church life. It deepens our relationship with God and allows us not only to share with Him our concerns, but to show our oneness with Him and our willingness to hear Him.
